“Carte culture“: your master key to cultural events
What is the “Carte culture“?
This card entitles you to a discount rate for cultural events and festivals in 80 venues across Alsace. Cheaper than the regular student rate, it includes free entry to museums, discount cinema tickets and preferential rates to a selection of concerts and shows in major local venues.
Am I entitled to it?
You are entitled to the Carte culture if you are a student at the University of Strasbourg.
How do I get one?
The card can be purchased for €7 upon registration.
The University of Strasbourg owns a wide range of scientific collections inherited from its various teaching and researching activities through time. Besides the inventory, the preservation and the management of these collections, the University is committed to sharing its heritage and wealth through various activities of promotion and scientific communication.
University and sports
SUAPS, the university sports centre, offers over 60 types of sports, such as badminton, dance, handball, judo, and even skiing. A hiking club is also active which organizes regular outings into the nearby Vosges Mountains in France and the Black Forest in Germany.
SUAPS also organises training and competitions at academic, regional and national level. There is a sport here for you!

Where can I collect my student card?
Your Pass Campus is given to you upon enrolment at your department of studies’ registrar’s office.
Internet services
- Most university buildings are covered by the University’s WIFI network Osiris.
- The Digital Work Environment’s (ENT) portal provides members of the university community with many services: e-mail box, news, enrollment, exam results, schedules, educational tools (IT and Internet certificate, Univ-R application), and a virtual library among others.

A two-course lunch costs only 3.20 Euros (if paid for with a student card).

Around Strasbourg….The Wine Route and the Vosges Mountains
Alsace is one of France’s largest wine producing regions and is especially known for its white wines Sylvaner, Riesling, Muscat and Gewurtztramminer, as well as its sparkling wine Crémant d’Alsace.
For nature lovers, the Vosges Mountains lie only about 45-minute car drive away and offer plenty of hiking routes in the summer and a number of skiing resorts in the winter.
